Rakaia Villas at Terrace Downs High Country Resort offer a luxurious base for the ultimate ski escape or your family winter ski holiday. Terrace Downs is within close proximity of three commercial ski fields and four club fields.

Terrace Downs is less than one hour's drive from Christchurch International Airport. Mt Hutt ski field offers some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the Southern Hemisphere over 472 hectares of diverse terrain for skiers and snowboarders.

Rakaia Villas offer skiers and golfers a choice of 2 & 3 bedroom deluxe villa accommodation. All our Villas are located along the 18th fairway of Terrace Downs Golf Course and provide unobstructed views of the back nine holes of the golf course and Mt Hutt and Southern Alps.

Rakaia Villas are independent accommodation providers only. We are not related to the Resort nor do we offer any activities directly to our guests.

Each Villa includes luxurious California king-split beds, feather bedding and a raised double spa bath in the main en-suite bathroom. Large screen TV, DVD player, CD stereo system, wireless internet, undercover car parking, full kitchen and laundry facilities and a ski gear drying room.

Important Information: In the winter months guests should not come to Terrace Downs without a vehicle. It is recommended you have a four wheel drive vehicle and chains should be carried. Please note that the nearest shops are a 20 minute drive so being prepared in the winter is important for your safety and enjoyment.
